2009 racing
I will be adding all races and conditions and birds sent,, then the results..
So look back for our races for 2009.
South road..10th april - basketted 30 birds for the south road club from Wincanton. We have sent 17 hens and 13 cocks. About 14 of these birds are having their first ever race, they have been trained very well but this is their first time on the transporter. Fingers crossed for a good race. I will post their performance on the 11th..

Result - we were 4th and 5th and are very pleased as the birds came from the south and this is a huge dissadvantage to us.The first bird is a cock we call the unknown as his parents are a mystery and the second bird back was a van reet who has not raced for 3 years. Our returns are very good ,29 home from 30 sent. 109 birds were sent in the club.
19th april - This week we sent to 2 races, SALISBURY (32) with the south road club and SWINDON (17) with the south east club, the wind is our worst wind this week as we are the most northerly flyers in both clubs.. It was 17mph north east at the race point and 5mph north east at home,, but the birds came well. We don't expect to gain any cards but we are very happy with the birds performance against a north east wind. returns are good with only 5 behind from 49 at 3pm.. I will post the positions gained later but not holding any hope of winning..

Result - We were 15th in the south club and congrats must go to dai welly for a very good winner, also to fishlock and roberts for a second to add to last weeks winner..
