We fly numerous strain of birds and bring new stock in each year.
Here are some of the families we fly.
Janseen - these are from Frank Dixon (liverpool) and Alun Maull (south wales)Champion Jack family.They excel from 70 miles to 500 miles. They have only been at our lofts for 1 year with super results. We have 10 janseen stock birds here and they will all be crossed into the maris birds for 2009.The lines we have are De Zwarts,linderluf,Jack,Skywalker.
Van reet - These are the backbone of the loft and are from ritchie ryder (liverpool) and mr peter stanway (manchester), they are red daniel lines with a few hessians aswell. These have won many 1sts in federations, clubs and section nationals. We have 5 x 1st federation winners at stock.We have a double grandson of red daniel which has bred 3 x 1st federations and is g/sire to 4 x 1st feds. He is a son of witpen genesis and claire.Mr and mrs turners top birds at the moment.
Maris - These are from Mickey lennon from nuneaton, these we believe are the best maris birds in the country and we cross them into our janseens, a young bird this year was 16th and 3rd national with the welsh south road nationl.We have 4 at stock.Big things are expected from these birds for 2008.
Hermans - Fantastic darks and very versitile birds,winning from 80 to 400 miles,we only have 3 pure bred ones here and they are responsible for 10 x 1st clubs in the last 4 years, One 2003 bird has won 8 x 1sts and is now at stock.They originate from J Brockhurst,but were purchased from P Stanway manchester. We have some new hermans here to blend with our vandeweyers, from ian brown and steven steyert.. huge hopes for them.
Herman Ceusters from premier stud. A blue w/f hen was won by us and is a g/daughter of a national winner and a 2nd national. This hen is now a cock ,, lmao..
Braspenning - We bought a Braspenning hen (08) to go with our hereman ceasters, the hen is from the de felle and van morsel lines. Cracking hen with very good balence.
Verhydee - A red cock from marc and lilly direct from belgium, It is a janseen based bird and has bred a few latebreds only this year.
Wildermesch - one here from eddie ketye from tamworth. very strong pigeon.
Heskin van riel - On loan from Barry Holloway and his dad from cwm near Ebbw vale,Lets hope he breeds some top stuff, half the nest going back to them, 100% genuine fanciers..
De Meer - we have introduced 2 pairs for stock. 2 are direct from De Meer and are 2001 and 2002 bred and the other 2 are 2004 bred from 2 direct De Meers. These birds are sprint pigeons are from the best introduced to this country. so 2 directs and 1 cock from Eddie ketye and 1 from Scott Jackson, this cock is a full brother to his elvis who won many prizes for the yeatmans. 3 dark cheqs with a touch of brinze in the wing and the other a smoket pencil hen.. huge hopes.. We will test the young for the next 2 years.
Distance - we have just brought in some distance lines. They are from racing fanciers and will be tested and hopefully get our birds upto 600 miles on the day. They are aarden x van geels and thorne x aarden.. We now have 8 pairs of distance stock here, A huge thanls must go to armstrong and wheatley from the midlands for their help in obtaining distance stock .
